My scotch is always neat and if I'm in the mood for a contemplative tasting, I'll take my bourbon the same way. But for a more casual drink, I take it on ice. My go-to bourbon vessel is a Tiffany rock-cut double old fashioned glass. They're a tad on the pricey side, so they aren't party bar ware for this guy. But a pair was worthwhile to me...one for me at least, with one available for a good friend. They're distinctive and have a satisfying heft. Unfortunately, there is no matching decanter.

Just my 2 cents.....I've tried stones, spheres, the jumbo cubes from tovolo trays, and i ended up liking the small cubes the best. I drink most of my bourbon neat, but occasionally like a little ice. With the large Cubes or sphere's you could end up with too much water in your juice. I know people will say that the sphere doesn't melt quickly... but everything melts quickly in the summer. I like these the best. Usually one cube does the trick

I like the large ice sphere in my bourbon. The large mass brings down the temp nicely with minimal dilution. Like all ice, it will eventually melt and dilute the drink. However, that's never been a problem because the bourbon's long gone before the ice melts. ;)

Plus, should you be reaching for a 2nd or 3rd glass, you can empty out the water. Then refill and enjoy all over again. (y)(y)

Thanks for all the help and advice from all the Brothers!!!! Your help as guided me through unfamiliar territory and I've learned much.
Update time: Here is a picture of the Bourbon I bought and the Glencairn Whiskey Glass I ordered. I'm excited to crack it open and try it, tomorrow night sounds perfect. I have to work 11pm-6am tonight so it will be something to look forward too.

Very nice glass and nice choice of bourbon!! It won't disappoint. And pairs nicely with some cigars. Just need to find the right ones to go with it!!!
Thanks, I was thinking maybe something Sun Grown. The oils and earthy flavors that go with it might pair nicely. Only one way to find out right?

Yes sir!!!! I had paired it with a Partagas Benji Homage 2013 cigar. And it was amazing. Sadly, a limited released cigar and once they sold out they were no more.

Ugh.....I see what I did there....lol. Now I'll go back and change it thanks!!!! LOL.
