Looks like Castro regime will have to be defunct before Congress votes to lift Embargo. I think I agree. Raul Castro wants U.S. to pay reparations for Embargo. LOLOLOLOL!!! What an assclown!

Hey, Raul, I want a 5000-square-foot humidor stocked with Habanos from floor to ceiling, and I also want my own personal harem of Playboy bunnies on a thousand acres of prime California real-estate.

Dreams are dangerous things...

Hard to argue with the logic in the article. I'm not sure the general population is ready to end the embargo. Such an action would only help the Castro family. It would do next to nothing for the people.

Honestly, if Raul and Fidel Castro are serious about those terms of agreement, it won't happen until they're both dead. There is no way the American taxpayer will allow our government to pay reparations for the embargo. Even the whole Guantanamo Bay thing is ridiculous. That is our base and we shall keep it, regardless of what some pompous little tyrant wants. I just hope Havana doesn't become the new San Jaun.

My initial thought, back in December, was that it would be many years yet before the embargo was lifted, and we'd know well in advance.

My current thinking? 12-18 months (maybe sooner), and we will know about it when we read it on Twitter. Or on BOTL. I think these talks are a lot more far along than we know.

If I had a few grand to spare, I'd get a second wineador and fill it with boxes of CC 2014s. This ain't gonna be pretty.

But what do I know? My avatar is the guy who signed it in the first place :)
