Welcome from my cubicle in San Diego.
I will actually be on a plane tomorrow morning headed to San Diego! My girlfriend just moved out there a couple months ago so it's time for another visit. Maybe I'll bring my herf a dor and bring a couple smokes back with me.

Any recommendations on local shops in San Diego??

Yes! Here are my preferred B&Ms...It depends what part of town I'm in..

Old Town - Racine and Laramie: Cool little historic shop with a lot to offer. Could find some gems in here. They have a nice selection of Roma Craft, HTF La Aurora, and a bunch of cigars with a good amount of age. I picked up some Illusione HL Candelas when I was there and the old HL Maduros with the OG white band.

La Jolla/Miramar? - Churchill's: You could eat and drink at this place! They have alcohol. Really good selection. A little pricey but they have some HTF stuff. I like to buy Regius and the higher end Padron cigars here. Oh, and they have Herrrera Esteli Norteno!

Kearny Mesa - Liberty Tobacco: Nice selection of aged Pipe tobacco tins, htf Davidoffs, Fuentes, etc. They are a TAA store.

Del Mar - Liberty Tobacco: Same as above, slightly different selection.

La Mesa - Hoffers: They have some harder to find Viajes. They have beer. You have to smoke in the back patio.

Oceanside - Cigar Grotto: They have a Liga account, so at time may have the more rare Unicos.

Seaport Village - Captain Hunts: Nice Scenery, I go here for a decent selection of Fuente and Padron, Ezra Zion, Paul Garmirian, and the OG Philippine made Fighting Cock...lol.

Scripps Ranch - Santuary Lounge: Haven't been but hear great things!

Enjoy time with the girlfriend!

The place was great, staff was incredibly friendly. I brought my girlfriend and we both had a cigar and a beer. Unfortunately on Thursdays the patio closes at 10 but they were able to help me find some cigars to bring home. I tried a tatuaje Miami that came in the form of a torpedo. It was a great smoke and went very well with the barrel aged imperial stout they had on tap.

Overall a great experience for my first time smoking at a shop and I would definitely go back!

Almost forgot, ended up bringing 6 sticks home with me

Looking forward to smoking these when I get back to Alabama.

I've never had any of them before so maybe you guys can let me know what you think of them.

Illusione Fume D'Amour
H. Upmann The Banker
My Father
Man O' War Immortal
Ave Maria

The last was a house roll that he threw in, I'll probably try that one first.
