So you brothers were right. Being apart of this forum can lead to an early onset of cigar storage upgrade fever.

Just purchased this bad boy off Craigslist for $180.

Let the build begin. Any tips or ideas are welcome.

UPDATE:
After stuffing with newspaper for a day, I washed out the unit with distilled vinegar and a second wipe down of distilled water and baking soda.
The unit had been in a garage for a while so I figured I'd play it safe and wipe it down.

The plastic smell isn't that strong and I suspect that it'll fade once I add boxes.

I also just placed an order with Forrest at wineadors.com for the 4 drawer 2 shelf set with pulls.

Going to install a small computer fan in the bottom with circulation. Found this blog here which has been a great help in deciding how to set up the unit:http://wineadorbuild.blogspot.com/?m=1

Here is a pic of mine,
Are you using any fan source at the bottom to help circulation?
I've also noticed that it seems you have to set the digital temp lower than 65 to actually achieve that. Have you experienced a similar issue?

I have a small PC fan in there but I have had in off got the last couple of days. Thought that might be what's driving up the humidity. I lower the temp this morning to see if that will help. Although the other day I was talking to a guy at the cigar shop I hang out who also has a wineadoir and he suggested I should raise the temp all the way up. I get low humidity readings in the top and bottom, it's right in the middle it's running to high.

Can you ballpark how many cigars fit in each drawer? I've got one on the way and I'm trying to decide if I should go drawers (for singles) and shelves (for boxes) or what combination of both.
Not sure on the actual count, I have 16 boxes in their now with room for a few more.

Anyone have experience installing LED light strips inside? Purely for aesthetic purposes.
I have some in mine that I installed a while ago, they were old under cabinet lights I had from a long time ago. A SOTL here put up a thread about her wineador build and she had some that turn colors, I completely forgot I had some similar and copied her idea. WP_20150302_017.jpg

That's gorgeous! Looks like I'm going to have to copy you as well.

Great build brother. Love how you completely turned that thing into yours.
Did you place the LED strip on the glass facing towards the boxes, or around the inside lip?
Thanks :D

The LEDs are stuck to the door, around the glass, facing to the inside of the wino. The sides of the wino are angled, so it reflect there and gives quite a nice look.

I had those LED strip (white) already, if I was to buy a kit, I'd get a RGB color-changing kit for a few bucks more, I think.

Here is a snapshot from my drawer. These are stacked 3 tall putting about 75 sticks in this double size drawer from Forrest.
