Once you have completed everything and are returning all cigars to your wineador, may I suggest using a beetle attractant/trap I have used with success?

The trap has a pheromone attractant which draws adult beetles out. Once they enter the trap there is a strong adhesive which they stick to. Place the trap on top shelf of wineador, check it every day or so, and if you catch any you know you still have a beetle problem. It ONLY works to confirm live adult beetles are present. It does nothing for eggs/larvae which may still be in the cigars unhatched. It's just a little piece of mind, not a pesticide or harmful to humans. PM me your mailing address. I will gladly send you one free to help you out. I bought a 10 box and still have 8 left. Hopefully, I won't need them and am happy to help out someone who may benefit from them.

Too scary. I've always considered keeping rouge larvae from hatching but never considered a stick could have a newborn before it goes in.

UPDATE:

Cigars were freezer 3 days at 5 degrees avg. Spent 24 in refrigerator and now still bagged in wino.
So far so good.

Spoke with Holt's Cigar Company in Philly and it appears the beetles in fact came from a specific box of Mason Dixon Project which had already been damaged by the beetles.
(I made the rookie mistake of not checking thoroughly before buying.) They agreed to replace the sticks.

So that made all this precautionary but better safe than sorry.
Thanks to all the brothers for their speedy advice in a moment of total panic. I definitely learned a lot from the scare.
