I think I saw this picture in your post the other day and I was very curious about that beer. I love coconut in anything so I definitely need to get my hands on this. Kona makes a pretty good coconut porter that is relatively easy to find, they call theirs KOKO Brown. You will have a PM soon brother.
I will probably be smoking one tonight with a buddy of mine. My palate is far less refined than most of the brothers on here so that was one of my main reasons for wanting to send some out, but I will let you all know how it goes. I have had a couple from this maker before when I lived down in FL so hopefully they are as good as I remember.regardless of their authenticity, the cigar on the left looks trashed. the other two look salvageable. go ahead and smoke them - you just might enjoy them.
those customs look really nice! before you gift those out (a very generous gesture, by the way) please smoke one and let us know what you think of them!
during lunch im headed to Binny's (chicago's largest wine and spirits chain stores) and im looking for these...they have everything! thanks for the info - im looking forward to trying these......My current favorites are Oskar Blues Old Chub, Monday Night Brewing Drafty Kilt, Orkney Brewing Skullsplitter and who can forget Erie Brewing Railbender
Oskar Blues is great, if you haven't had their beer yet I recommend all of them. My girlfriend and I visited the North Carolina brewery in December of '13 and I had a special release called Xmas Chub. The Colorado brewery had sent them a 6' tall Spruce and they didn't know what to do with it so they cut it up and threw it in with the batch of Old Chub they were brewing at the time. I've still never had a better Christmas type beer!

They release it Sept-Feb so if you can't still find some you'll only have to wait until fall.Ten Fidy is great, but I was told recently that it's seasonal. Have to wait until winter I guess.
Im a BJCP judge, entry level Cicerone, president of my homebrew club, and part owner/assistant brewmaster of Bone Island Brewing if you have any questions about beer feel free to ask!!i would love to take a deeper dive into craft beer, but there are sooo many out there, i have no idea where to start. your suggestions give me a great starting point, especially since you relate the flavor profile to scotch.
and unlike cigars, i have no room for mass storage. my eight 6ers of the rootbeer are clinking around in the trunk of my car
Edit: Never mind, the 2 posts above said the same thing. lolmy eight 6ers of the rootbeer are clinking around in the trunk of my car
I was just about to mention the kona. I had that stuff and loved it. I did the world beer tour last year where I tried 100 beers in a year (mostly six packs) from my local beer tour. That was one of the ones that I really enjoyed.I think I saw this picture in your post the other day and I was very curious about that beer.
