Hi,
My name's Dustin. Stumbled upon the botl while looking for info for caring for a wet cigar, and ended up reading for a couple hours.

I'm currently in my last semester for mechanical engineering. Married to a wonderful woman and have a great black lab for a son (for now only dog's). Spend free time hicking and kayaking amongst friends. Most of my cigars are spent next to my dog in the back yard or on a walk.

Still consider my self pretty new to cigars. Started 2 years ago at a buddies bachelor party and couldn't get enough. I just find the time smoking to be so relaxing. I smoke two times a week on my days off from work. I haven't really tried a lot but my favorite at the moment is the CAO Brazilian. I tend to like cigars that are said to be full flavored. But I am trying to better my pallet so I can taste more.

Ty. I'm mostly here to keep learning. I figure I know less than a percent of knowledge for cigars. Just spending time looking through previous post has been nice. So madurous would be a dark rich flavored cigar? I'm families with sizes and shapes but I don't think I know that word.

Maduro simply means, "mature." They're typically darker in color. Here's a description from one of the online shops:

"The color of a Maduro wrapper can vary between cigars and brands, but they can range from a dark brown to midnight black (Double Maduro or Oscuro.) Maduro cigars vary in flavor as well. They are typically more complex than a natural wrapper, just like a dark beer typically has a more complex flavor than a lighter beer. This difference comes from the Maduro’s fermenting process, which gives it the darker color and its stronger taste. Flavors from a Maduro wrapper range from a chocolate taste to a peppery, spice taste."
