So your rating on that cigar? 55.5?

The acids may be over infused, but they use somewhat good tobacco to begin with. Most dog rockets don't. It is my understanding that the acidy sour chemical taste of most rockets come from the fact their tobaccos are badly fermented, or not mature at all.

Congrats on keeping it up that long!

Speaking of accomplishing something, So I pulled four smokes. ..
Here's my tendering of our dog rocket pass. .....

Roulette Pak serviced
Three Roulette sticks left. Two are falling apart. One has lost it's wrap and likely these may be smokeable as a joke challenge only.

So I put together Five new ROULETTE ROCKETS.
Dog Rocket Roulette #2 is in play !!
The five will go from one horrible bullet and go up in grade to a fine smoke you probably already have. Good luck. Lettered A-E . No particular order. I logged which is which if you try, respond here. And I will give you the reveal !

Packed with water pillow.

still editing stand by...............................................

You are welcome to try from the original roulette bag. But you will see what I mean.
Might be time to retire Roulette bag 1

" hitchiker pak " ziplock bag serviced
I threw some hitchiker paks forward to some of the men downstream, and there are others from other gentlemen as well. So at this point two "forwarding bags" were required. An envelope for one downstream client was opening so that was repaired with tape. All is well.
Check the bags guys. You got mail . :joyful:

" dog Rocket pack" OK
Herfdogs' work rehydro the rest of contents surviving well. "
Dog Rocket pack" Bodeva checks OK

" Pick one - Gentlemen Donor Bag
" OK
Bodeva good and items OK At the last moment on repack tonight I grabbed two small cigarillos, as noted below in photo. I threw a nice fresh Baccarat in there. Smoke it somebody..

Swag-
New cheap handout cutters added

Dog Rocket Box
Shipping container exchanged for slightly larger shipping box.
Bubble wrap added for cushioning bottom layer.

Service closed here. I have three small dog rockets I can still review so I will continue to do so here. Meanwhile. The DRP (dog rocket pass) will be back on the way tomorrow. TARGET: Multi-Useless !! :nurse:

+1 Yeah I agree with all this. I can say 55.5 on the 555 would be about right. LoL
The Acid I can rate 75.

There's a couple more Acids in the bag going down stream to the "final four" and they're still smokeable. (y)

Yeah except for the rocket roulette that was too far gone - it's Bovedas was dry as rock when it reached here - everything should be in awesome shape. I kept everything at 67 for a week, added freshly charged Bovedas, and the kitty litter was for added moisture; not for Bondo to satisfy his urinary needs...

Speaking of roulette #1, I smoked mine today. Well, what I could. No discernible flavors to me beyond just leaf. Not necessarily bad, by dog rocket standards, but not good either. Overall I guess it was ok, but not good enough to make me want to finish it. What was weird is it had a smoothness to the smoke I wouldn't expect from a dog rocket. I almost wanna say that it may have been a good smoke but maybe the Ohio triangle took something from it. But again it may have always been this way. I let it rest awhile so it could acclimate well but who knows. So, what was it??

I would guess a $4 cigar. But I saw them at the $2 mark for a bundle at one site for this 5x42 I had .

... Herfdog, on the rocket roulette #1 condition....
I did not note them nor took a pic either :(
But in the shape they were, it must not matter much.
I think they suffered much from the Ohio triangle.
I think, by their own account, they were shipped each day between the three post offices in Ohio for 30 days straight..
All I can figure is during that leg of the trip they must have been on the bottom.
This time the whole thing sits on a bubble wrap bed and I told them it was glass so they stamped FRAGILE all over it.

It only has 4 more hops to go. And one is on the way down already

Over the years, the Ohio triangle has taken many victims. The first known instance was the disappearance of some H. Upmann coronas in 1950 near the Columbus Post Office. This was just the frightful beginning. In 1965, a box of El Rey Del Mundos mysteriously disappears behind the Post Office in Findlay. Again, in 1996, a several premium boxes of Dutch Masters fell into a mailbox, never to be seen again. Even to this day, disappearance of cigars is common in the Ohio Triangle.

Drumroll........... That was a Gurkha Vintage 2001, the lone Gurkha in the original roulette bag! I've heard it said before (by one BOTL - you know who you are) that the Vintage 2001 is not a bad smoke, but myself, I never did like it. And this coming from a guy who liked a few Gurkhas back in his younger days of herfing... My guess is that the Ohio Triangle has some sort of Twilight Zone powers that turn the worst Gurkhas into palatable smokes?
