I think it was 1 -3-5 , Maybe Yan remembers. I didn't take a picture of it. Not sure I was allowed .
Jamie will have them on Saturday.
Meh, nothing is "disallowed" or anything... I'm pretty sure that it's 3, 5, and 6 remaining - I know this because 2 of those 3 were taste bud suicide and I was wondering all along if anyone would draw one of those. From what it sounds like, I'll probably just pronounce them DOA and give them a proper burial (or maybe send them off in epic fashion - 4th of July is right around the corner and I have all sorts of bad ideas...) We can leave them in, but it sounds like we should just let roulette bag number 2 take over that department. Unless anyone wants to re-band one of them with a CC band and give it to one of their non-cigar buddies. As a cigar lover, I don't think I could do that - but as a guy who Minored in Psych, I'd love to hear about it if anyone wants to conduct an experiment on one of their friends...

Well, rest assured there is one, certain, taste bud suicide in R2...
Wouldn't be roulette without at least one round in the chamber.
Some, may consider two "hot rounds" in there. ....

USPS left one of those little cards saying that they tried to deliver. :/ Local post office isn't open this afternoon but I'll swing by anyway. Maybe I'll get lucky and catch someone who can dig it up for me.

Did you tell he took great danger by keeping it in place longer than he should?
Nah, no point in making them worry about my outgoing and incoming packages. Especially the ticking ones. ;)

So, with the nuclear football safely in hand, I examined the contents to see just what the monster we've created has turned into over these past few months. Which was incredibly fun - maybe because it's my first box pass, but after all we've been through with this box, there was something special about seeing how far it's come along.

Among other things in the box, was a certain "take 1" bag with simple yet hilarious instructions. I won't ruin the surprise, but @Bondo 440 - I LOL'd at that for a few minutes... (y)

Tag-a-long bombs - yes, they're in there. Everyone make sure to look for packages with their name on them! Found a few addressed to me - all containing cigars, and 1 with herfdog-approved paraphenalia riding along:

Thanks guys, the pics are upside down for some reason - I blame my phone. @herfdog - I'm not yet sure where I'm going to put that "I Hate Sidney Crosby" sticker, but I intend to find the perfect place for it. (y)

Moving on to the main bag, I found 3 that really caught my attention. In the "help yourself" hitchhiker bag, I grabbed the 2 Acids, as I've been on an infused cigar kick lately and have never had these before. Since I took the 2 Acids in that bag, I replaced them with a different Acid and an Isla del Sol so that there are still infused cigars for everyone else to grab. Don't be shy about grabbing an infused cigar - they're the perfect smoke after you've destroyed your palate with a dog rocket.

My takes:

And my puts:

Finally, I had to play dog rocket roulette. I'd been thinking C. Then I was eyeing D. B and E looked like viable options... Then I told my kid to pick one for me, and she chose A. Review to follow...

The paw-printed white bands are decoys and should be disposed of. Just sayin.

I can't wait for your review on the Baitey. I don't think those are available down south, are they?

I might have to smoke the Batey next - I don't know if they're available here or not, but I've never seen them advertised anywhere. Which was really what drew me to it - even if it's a rocket, it's something different.

Paw print bands removed - that makes 2 more I've never seen! (y)

I smoked that number A roulette stick this evening... review and pics on the way...

The Baitey's been resting in my humi for a few months. I know they suck ROTT, but with rest might become interesting. Perhaps. Never know. Don't expect much ;)

So my daughter saw me holding the new incarnation of the dog rocket roulette bag, standing there in awe at both it's glory and destructive potential. She encourages cigar smoking - I used to smoke cigarettes, and when I took up cigars, she began insisting that I smoke cigars instead of cigarettes. One night I snuck out the back door for a quick cig - after about a minute she opened up the door and said sternly - "hey, smoke a cigar!" She was 5 at the time... I've since quit cigarettes, but she still thinks my cigars are just awesome. :D

So I asked her to pick from the roulette bag for me... She examined them briefly, and grabbed A. The churchill... great. I asked if she was sure, she said yes. I asked again... yes. One more attempt at getting out of the churchill... "For the last time, yes!"

A few hours later, we're grilling and playing in the back yard. Time to light this bad boy up... pre-light draw doesn't have the typical dog rocket "wet grassy hay" flavor, which brings a sigh of relief. Torch - cigar - first puff - and there it is, the wet grassy hay blast that I was afraid of. But, after the first couple puffs, it went away. Glory hallelujah! Pretty light, mostly just a mild smokey flavor, which was easily dominated by the flavor of my A&W root beer pairing. Draw was a bit tight for the first half, which may have dulled things, but not so bad that I couldn't smoke it.

Draw opened up about halfway through, flavor was still light but maybe a bit woody/earthy/vegetal? Strength and body picked up a bit in the 2nd half. I was smoking it full time, but the smoke was complimentary to the bonding time with my kid, so I could have been smoking a pretty good smoke without really taking it all in, or it could have been a sub-par smoke where I didn't stop to think if it was lacking anything. Again, my root beer dominated my taste buds with this one, more so than root beer usually does for me...

OK Uncle Bondo, what did I smoke?

All I can say is when I just read your daughter picked "A "...... I totally went "hooo hooooo "

Your Cigar was ..
CU Avana ! That was the label I smoked .... that tasted like plastic !!
Maybe I just got a sour one ! Sounds like you survived...
Personally, I would not recommend them. They are definitely "20 for 20 " and "dog rocket "class. You had the "red" label (below) ... They come in a blue .

And here I'm always bragging about my kid's innate ability to pick out quality smokes... Oh well, she gets a pass for dog rocket roulette.

But yeah, it sounds like I got off easy on the Cu Avana compared to you. Seems to me that sticks of that level can vary pretty wildly from "tolerable" to "please kill me now to end the suffering..." Then again, Bic pen tops never really tasted like anything to me, so maybe that has something to do with it...
