So what did you think? I try to avoid smoking the #77 and #88 because I know I love them way too much. Just makes me want what I can't have every day!
My first Añejo 77 Shark. Happy #fuentefriday.
It's an awesome smoke. So different from the Don Arturo I had yesterday. I thought it was closer to the Don Carlos profile. I have another that I bought at the same time, gonna let it nap a while longer (i'm amazed this one lasted this long from October; aging cigars is not my strong suit lol).So what did you think? Was told tjis was an excellent mild-medium smoke but its as full bodied as they come. I think thats the biggest problem I have with it, didn't meet expectations.
Could not retrohale at all with this one. Retrohale resulted in a searing pain at every point in the smoke.
About halfway I realized it was a full flavored smoke and my mild to medium expectations needed to go away. Wasn't the big peppery spice bomb that most NC big smokes are, but over the top with cedar and a bit of pepper.
Definitely not in my wheelhouse and far from mild.
Did finish despite turning a bit green by yhe yime I hit the final third. Didn't nub, put down at about 1.25"
Eta: lost my lunch after posting. Definitely a big full/full. Won't be revisiting this one.
