La Palina Goldie Robusto Extra

Man that is a nice looking stick. Was browsing around Emerson's and that stick caught my eye! Almost checked out a box three times this past weekend alone and twice today.

Yes oh yes. I'm patiently waiting or not so patiently waiting I always go deep on the Goldies. Not sure why. Since it gets released every year... The Lancero was a nice size though. Robusto Extra is not as sexy but it won't stop me from buying them.

I wasn't able to get any no.2s, but they were probably the best. I went through 5 or 6 boxes of the no. 5s. The lancero, for some reason wasn't too impressed with it. I'm hoping this robusto extra turns out well.

Small Batch had a small shipment. Already out of stock, but they said "small first shipment", so I'd keep an eye out on them.

If anything like last year the first run sells out quick then the batch in the fall sits on the shelves for 8 months.

I think it depends on the initial reviews. Last year the Laguito Especial didn't live up to expectations, and I think hopes were high. They have gotten better with age, but still cannot hold a candle to its predecessors. The Robusto Extra size is definitely intriguing and my expectations are high again.

Tonight, I cracked a box of the Lanceros and it was the best I've smoked to date.
