Go to CBid they said, great deals they claimed.
First, this is true, great deals can be had at the various auction sites, but, I say but, only if you think before you click.

First, don't bid in the morning before you've had that coffee. Your mind just ain't right. Second, don't forget to do the math. I just dropped a bid for a box of EP Carrillo La Historia El Senator. That's not my fault, I love these and just seeing it on the auction site made my eyes go glossy and my mind go numb. I check the going rate for a box and adjust for shipping (minus a pad for my discount) to decide my max bid and hit send......

.... Oh wait, That's the bid button, not the MAX bid button. No worries. I'm still going to get a great deal right?....

..... Fast forward to me after my cup of coffee. Hey, I could have used the BOTLORG coupon on Famous and got those for and saved 17%. Damn, I just paid $6 more than I would have and of course I would have bumped up my order to get the free shipping.

Brothers, learn from by ignorance. Do you math and don't forget all the variables before hitting send. Lesson learned (again). At least, I'll have a box of La Historias to console me in my shame.

(Hopefully I win the box of MF1922 to regain my pride, that one I will have a nice well thought out price).

Been there Brother. I've hit the bid button instead of max bid myself once or twice. Supposedly its possible to retract a bid within a few minutes without penalty. I don't see how to, though.

I had this happen once. Accidentally placed a bid way too high. I emailed cbid and they adjusted my max bid to what I meant to hit.

They are dangerous sites. Its like dollar stores and yard sales. It may look good but you really got to consider if it is worth it compared to what you can get elsewhere.

Honestly, I usually stay away from these sites. I always end up winning wayyyy too many lots, and often times, cigars I probably wouldn't even buy when the auction excitement gets me. I've found that daily/weekly/email deals from most of the main companies are better for my budget.
