Thanks for all the suggestions! Someone has graciously offered to send me a sampler. In the mean time I am trying to be responsible and smoke some of what I still have and look for deals on what has been recommend. Bait Fish in the 2 dollar range is very intriguing as its one of the ink cigars recommended I've had.

Needed to look up the cigar I had, but it wasn't a nunb, but a cheap cigar of the same size. It was a Victor Sinclair. Good cigar if you like the taste of citronella in a cigar.
I really like nubs and cigars of that size.

Its been mentionned, but the nica libre is awesome and can be gotten for dirt cheap on cbid.
Illusione rothschilde is also a great option. Also already mentionned. But I think both need some emphasis, as the price point and quality is a good combo IMHO.

Nica Rusticas are excellent and I want to say with the sale they had last month on CI with the sampler It averaged out to around 3.70 a stick!
Also another one that is found on CI and Cbid that a lot of my friends tend to like are the Fallen Angels. Im not crazy about them but a lot of the cigar smokers here really like them.

Smoke cheap stogies proudly. There are lots of great affordables, and many of us smoke them.
Or, alternately, smoke better sticks less often. You have to make sacrifices based on your budget. When I started having kids (I have five now) I had to cut back. Now I smoke $5-7 cigars most of the time, but only once or twice a week. I'd like to smoke more often, but if I want to smoke higher priced stuff, I have to decrease my frequency.
Like all aspects of life, some folks can afford more, and some folks can afford less. You figure out your own budget and you learn to be satisfied within that budget. Some drive worse cars or take the bus, others drive Porsches. I'd love to have a new car, but I drive an old Honda with 200,000 miles. That's my budget, and that's ok.

I started smoking in 2012 but only in the last year and a half have I been very passionate about cigars. What I liked when I started isn't what I enjoy now. I used to buy a lot of big names from Altidas and General. My tastes have completely changed from being a part of BOTL. Thanks to all of you, I have developed a greater appreciation for better cigars. Now don't get me wrong, I still believe in smoking what you like and liking what you smoke. I'll never bash anyone for smoking a certain cigar. I just have found my tastes have gravitated towards different brands than when I started.
There are plenty of ways to find quality cigars at discount prices. One just has to look around. I use CBid and Cigar Auctioneer a lot differently now than I used to. It is easy to find good quality premium cigars at everyday low prices.
I have recently been considering just buying boxes of smokes I really enjoy and would like to have on hand. I have been growing weary of spending money on cigars I have never tried and not sure if I will enjoy them.
I think there is a difference between cheap and inexpensive. Cheap things are usually of poor quality construction, and (in the case of food, drink and tobacco) flavor. I like budget friendly, knowing everyone's budget is different. This is one of the reasons I really enjoy my pipes. A new pipe usually cost me about as much as a box of Padrons, but at the end of 20 smokes, I still have the pipe, just need a 10-20 dollar tobacco refill. However, there are days where a good cigar is a better choice. And unless its a special occasion or I am with friends, I dont need a top dollar cigar to walk the dog. However, as I learned, I don't want a bad cigar either.
Thanks to a bunch of input, and a sampler sent from a member, I now have about 12 new cigars to try. However, sense the first batch showed up Friday I have been battling the same virus my son his first week at daycare.
Also, as a new member, I appreciate everyone not judging others for cigar budget or taste. All to often people get stuck with what they like and think it has to be what everyone else likes too.

What do you mean by CC's? Is that the bundle name?
It's Cubans. The h uppmann half corona is awesome and can be had for around $4 each with a box buy.

CC's=Cuban Cigars, NC=Non Cubans.
We don't judge here. We might bust your chops a little but we would never put anyone down for enjoying a certain cigar. We all started smoking pretty much the same stuff but as we became a little more informed about tobacco and brands we branched out. Not to mention all of our tastes change at some point.
Perfect! I have had a few cubans and usually am underwhelemed. I think it is because of the hype. They are good, but usually the ones I've been given were 12-30 dollar sticks. Appreciated, but not worth that kind of money, IMO.
Well thats fair. Ad I can take it. I havent mentioned the KDF that I like, because I already read thats a love it or hate it thing.
As for the Illusione Rothschild, they seem to be about 5 dollars a stick, but you have to get a whole box. Maybe some day Ill save some money for a box, think I could find a place to get rid of them if they turn out not be be my taste.
