Mmmmmm. This is nice. Very nice. You know, with all the new 'designer' cigar brands out there and every label trying to outdo each other with premium lines, I think the old standards from General Cigar often get short shrift today. Take this Punch, standard line, double corona EMS (6.75" x 48 ring), about $4.50 by the box of 25. I have not had one in years, but this is every bit as good as I remember them from my Air Force days. This medium bodied smoke with an Ecuadorian natural wrapper is just a terrific everyday smoke. Perfect construction, open draw, clean burn line, plenty of smoke production ... earth and coffee with just a little vanilla, pepper and spice--this a cigar like I remember from before the 90's cigar craze. Is it a knock-your-socks off, mind blower like some of today's super premiums? No. But its a good cigar. A damn good cigar. Mmmmmm.
