OK. I smoked roulette stick #8 tonight.

Overall, I would say this was rather an unremarkable stick. Prelight aroma was nothing special. The flavors where harsh in that it had a smoky after taste. Like burning leaves. Any positive flavor qualities where buried under that and some mild bitter taste on the sides of the tongue. The harshness subdued somewhat as I reached the middle, but really didn't improve. On the plus side, the constructions was good. Unless my eyes deceive me, there appeared to be a triple cap. There is one large vein on one side, but otherwise the wrapper is smooth and matte. There is a hole in one side (see photo) that I need to plug in order to get a decent draw, which is otherwise good. Burn was very good and no touch ups were needed. In the end, I don't think I would buy this cigar due to the unfavorable flavor profile.

Tonight I had a date with

INFERNO!

I have never experienced a street justice beat down, but I was expecting my mouth to experience the cigar equivalent. I was happily wrong. It was more like a mugging.

Pre-light, this baby smelled of pepper. Nothing else notable. Construction appears decent. It's solid and the wrapper is a nice brown color, smooth, and slightly shiny.

The first third was the same as the second third, which was as far as I dared go. A tiny bit of cream, sweetness, and a bit of pepper. The smoke had some bite to it, which I find is common with many cheaper NC's. Nothing else of note. Burn was very good with an even burn line and no touch ups needed. I would say this cigar was easier to smoke than the roulette stick I pulled out.

This might make a good yard gar, but I think there are better sticks for similar prices.

After writing this, I did some Google-Fu and found that this is a Famous house special from Oliva. Looking at Famous, these are listed for around $3.50+ and seem to review well. Although the toro, which is what I had, rates an 83. I would agree with that rating.

Well fellas .... had a rough day today. I found out the car needs a head gasket :( then I got a call from the soon to be wife that she thinks I've been bombed. Thats right... shes scouting out for my safety! Keeper material right there!! I get home and it hits me... the puppies must have met a yoda pigeon that showed them some mad homeing skills! I sent them out on a suicide mission with hopes for no return but some how ..just somehow about 5 months later they made it back....pics to come tomorrow after my photobucket starts to work right again....;)

Here's something else you're waiting for , Jason.. The "reveal" on that "B" stick .. Umm..there's um.. kinda a problem here...

I guess it was about a week after the Rocket pass box was shipped back out, I was going through my "bombed smoke" pictures for Wicket's Bombed Smoke thread. I saw the stick with the solo orange band came in from a @jannskee bomb.!. It is rare I would "rebomb" a stick. There's just too many sticks I haven't tried yet..And if I get a duplicate, I try to keep the gifted one ! ..
I though I was putting in a "Punch" cigar in the new Roulette kit.

I looked it up. It could be a"Tennesee Waltz" (Crowned Heads line) or a Casa Fuete !
That doesn't actually match your review so I tagged Jannskee here for some input.

So it looks like Jannskee inadvertently got to contribute to the Dog Rocket Pass Roulete wheel.
And I guess for this one ......... we both get to play..

aint that hole a beetle hole?
or maybe its one of those aerated rockets?
Na that was a months ago if I had trouble here, I'd know it by now. Crap, at the time I only had like 60 cigars.
The hole is actually square shaped, and it's clear the binder is undisturbed under it.
More likely it got poked somehow in it's travels.

After all, It IS basically traveling across the continent with a bunch of hoes ..

That is why you need to tag sticks as they get in. You can't mix em at all if there is an ID band of it.

I call mine "dogtags"

LOL yeah I've seen those dogtags haha. !! wonder how they got over here? :D
,,aaaanddd the label under them sneaky guy. ! ! ;)

Picture catalog woks well for me. It even "corrected me" when I wasn't even looking and It told me I made a mistake and also tells me where it came from. Even if the "gifter" label falls off .The question that remains, is what the heck the stick is.

For me, tracking via picture catalog has never let me down. It even "corrected me" when I wasn't even looking and It told me I made a mistake and also tells me where it came from. Even if the "gifter" label falls off !
