Excited to finally leave the locker at the B&M for hooch and keep the stoagies at home. I'll start to season it tonight and hopefully loader up by sundee.

Any tips on seasoning? I was just going to toss in some 84's for a few days see where my humidity is. I plan to use 65% HFB and 65 boveda bags as my primary source of humidification.

I have this unit and love it. Congrats! I would recommend moving a drawer into slot 2 in front of the fan. Seems to aid in circulation. Also, I added an ETC to allow more detailed control of the temp as well as allow a higher than 66* setting. Let me know if I can help in any way.

That drawer tip is a good one. I have the same unit as well and am very pleased. Throw some bovedas and distilled water in trays in for a few days and load it up! Congrats brother!

Mine is up and running as well. Amazingly holding 66 degrees perfectly per multiple thermo tests. Holds humidity like Tupperware also. Using Boveda 65 and have heartfelt beads on the way.

The only thing that doesn't work with this unit is the analog hydgrometer which just sits at 40, does anyone know of a unit which will fit in that slot? I would like to have two of them in there...

-edit-

yes I tried to calibrate the unit but it never reads past 40, I think the needle is stuck.

I've been happy with this for monitoring my cigars. This allows you to monitor three different locations in your wino and keep the receiver in a place you can check daily without opening the door. It also has high and low settings for both temp and RH so it can alert you if anything goes wrong. ( like if the power goes out and the unit reserves to its coldest setting. )

can you calibrate the thermometer and hydrometer on those units? I notice my unit varies 2-3 in temperature and about 7-8% in RH from the top to the bottom of the unit.

Glad you like these. I saw this set with 3 sensors on sale at amazon for 31.00 and pulled the trigger. Units were 7% off but I made the adjustment on the display and they seem to be working well so far.

You can adjust the readout on the main display to calibrate. The sensor will still read low but the display will be correct.

Yes, but I can tell you that after two weeks of checking, I finally realized these are very accurate, but they take a while to respond to changing conditions.
