Hey guys - I've read a few scattered reviews of the Isla del Sol by Drew Estate (coffee-infused w/Sumatran wrapper). Has anyone tried one? Thoughts? Is it cloyingly sweet like the Acid line? :vomit:

Input appreciated! (y)

Never had a Java :( I used to be really into them w/coffee obviously....finding I like non infused w/coffee better...
The Isla to me was a bit "darker/bolder" than what i knew...yet a sweet finish was present
I'm the same as far as not going after infused cigars, but my finacee (she maybe smokes 3 cigars a year) likes the smaller Java's, and CAO flavors, so I've tried those before. I'll have to pick up a Isla for us to try as well for shits and giggles (y)

A couple months ago, I smoked a dog rocket for one of the dog rocket threads. After smoking the turd, everything else I smoked tasted like crap too, until I smoked an Isla del Sol that had been bombed to me. It was the cigar that brought my taste buds back to life, so I ended up picking up a fiver on cbid.

It's not something I'd smoke every day, but also not a bad "change of pace" cigar every now and then - it's different, as is the Acid, but not overwhelmingly "flavorful" like an Acid. DE website says that it's infused and has a sugared tip.

Had one a long time ago, and was in no way impressed. I actually considered it one of the worst cigars I'd had. I didn't know they were infused, I just thought it was bad. I may have to revisit it though, my palate has for sure changed.

Almost grabbed one from the b&m today actually. I had one awhile back and it wasn't bad, but at the time I prefered the DE Java. It's been awhile though and I'm sure my taste have changed the last java I had tasted to sweet now.

I smoked a couple of these a while back whilst in search of the LP40 and I was quite impressed with the stick. Not cloyingly sweet as some of the other coffee infused sticks out there. If you are looking for a good coffee infused stick, the latest releases in the genre from NUB is are remarkable.
