I have never heard of yellow cello until a few weeks ago as I was trolling the forum and through Instagram. Any idea how long it takes cigars to age before the cello turns?
Thanks!
Thanks!
Thanks man. Whole new concept for me. LolDepends on the humidity levels, temp and type of wrapper. I'm new to the game but my cigars at 65/68 that I've had for a year don't have any yellow on them yet. I think it happens a lot faster when you up the humidity and temp
Haha. Maybe it's just age?? Is it possible there are different qualities of cello??I had a Gurkha Empire sampler that I bought when I was a cigar noob, that I buried in a storage humi and forgot about for a couple years. The cellos were very yellow by the time I dug them out, where other cigars that had sat next to them the whole time, did not have the same yellow cello.
Based on that experience, I don't think that the quality of the tobacco has anything to do with it...
I'm thinking that both theories could be legit. Just age, because the Gurkhas weren't selling until they were heavily discounted and picked up by noobs? Cheap quality cello? I don't know anything about the manufacturing process of cellophane, but I wouldn't have a hard time believing that either...Haha. Maybe it's just age?? Is it possible there are different qualities of cello??
