Happy Birthday. I hope you have as experience as much love, blessings and satisfaction as I did during your second 30 years.

Congrats man. I'm the same way. 30 was a huge change compared to the antics of my 20's. Growing up has its benefits compared to being in your youth.
If 20 year old me met 30 year old me, he'd rob and/or shoot me. But if 30yr old me met 20 yr old me, I'd shoot back with much better aim.

Happy birthday, Dan! Now you need one of those ball caps that say "don't forget my senior discount" ;)
Hey now, not that old yet. Can still survive jumping off the roof, but the tuck n roll has gotten less effective over the years....

Happy birthday brother! I turn 30 in a few weeks. Seems 1985 was the year to be!
Damn straight.

Happy birthday, Dan!
Thanks bud.

Happy birthday brother. I love it when my birthday lands on a weekend. You get to celebrate as hard as you want without worrying about work the next day. Hope you are having a good time.

With thanks. To whom, I dont know.

Just got home from a deja vu birthday adventure. (And I don't mean Deja Vu the strip club by me, though that can be an adventure in its own...)

In 2012 shortly after our son was born, sister in law took the baby so we could have a night out. We took my motorcycle, a 1978 Suzuki GS750, on a 80 mile round trip to a brewery in Michigan City. On the way out, my 40 year old clutch cable broke and it took some creative work with wife pushing while I kicked the kickstarter over and then she hopped on while rolling. Made it home without stopping but this was 11pm...

So 3 years later we do the same, but this time went to a new brewery in Gary Indiana. Got outta work early by some stroke of luck. Gramma wanted to take the boy for the day, and wife wanted a motorcycle ride, so we went, had a beer each n split a third. Finished and left, rode along the Lake Michigan shoreline and then headed back down to the interstate. Came to a train crossing and had to stop. Guess what happened.... clutch cable broke... again. But this time I had a halfway decent battery and just hit the starter in first gear and got moving again. Made it home without stopping again, a greater feat at 5pm on a Saturday than our midnight run.

I need to find a good clutch cable maker. Thought buying a replacement from the dealer would be my best bet, but they sold me a cheap Chinese cable, no OEM.

Anyway... now home on the deck with a good cigar and throwing the ball for the dogs, waiting on gramma to bring boy home. Was a good day.
