Stopped by a local B&M today to pick up a few things when I noticed some boxes on the counter. He was just putting price tags on them so I figure, why not, I will pick up a few. Never had them before I just like the band. Are they any good?
Nice sample platter I think. Link hopefully fixed

^I found this pretty funny....but yes they are damn good. I can't think of a better 'nice band/great smoke' combo. Apparently you have good taste/good beginner's luck

Not a troll. It was indeed an attempt at a little humor. I only started getting into cigars within the last couple of months. I have smoke a few over my years (Zero Opus X though) but my buddy kind of got me more interested. I bought a humidor from Amazon before I really did any research just because I bought a couple of sticks when my buddy took me to the cigar shop (serious cigars in Houston) and needed something to put them in. Within the next week I had already ordered the Whynter before my humidor was even seasoned because I live in Texas and knew heat was going to be an issue. I just went to fast to soon - beginners mistake I am guilty.

So, I started acquiring some sticks and within a couple of months I have about 30 or so. So far I have found I like Padron, Las Calaveras 15 and the new La Imperiosa as well as Liga but I am still having to do a lot of research and experimenting. Seem to prefer medium to full.

I have been reading forums and reddit almost daily trying to soak up as much as possible and I knew Opus X were highly regarded so I was just real excited to be in the right place at the right time, probably the first time in my life. I figured I would let them sit for a month before I try one and then maybe a year after that.

Oh, and I do like the bands. It amazes me the art work that goes into some of these. Another example would be the E.P. Carrillo La Historia. Just beautiful in my opinion and had my first one this last Saturday. It was a good smoke but had some burn issues and a cracked wrapper most likely just the way they were stored at a different shop I was checking out.

Well, I guess I have more than 30 cigars. My oh my how this happen so quickly.

Excuse the torn wrapper on the Oliva - order the cigar obsession top 10 and it came this way. Kinda pissed about it so I really only order from small batch now. They are the best.
