Random, I'm new as well but I picked up a drew estate sampler from @FamousSmokeShop and hope to enjoy each of these smokes, hopefully I can tell the differences between the No9, Nica and Undercrown lol

not sure if you wanna look into that sampler though, plus we get a 17% BOTL discount on orders over $50 so you'll have to add something that's around 5 bucks more to use it, but it still made the pricing awesome (thanks for that Famous!)

You asked specifically about Drew Estate cigars, so here is my response:

As others have mentioned, ensure you have a beverage that contains sugar. Preferably cane sugar. Options for such are select cream soda, root beer, colas, uncolas, coffee, tea, white wine, etc.

If you want to venture out a little bit in the Drew Estate brands, the Tabak has been a real winner for those who don't mind "infused" style cigars. Many folks say this cigar is a "great cigar to have with coffee".

Lastly, Ara was wrong... again; these cigars do not "suck", rather they are made to be sucked/ smoked.

I've been wrong, but this time, I am not.

To me, Papas Fritas deliver the LP9 experience in a small package. They are much cheaper, of course, but the short filler and much shorter smoke time mean they are not a particularly great deal. That said, if you like LP9 they hit the spot.

The Undercrown is really two different cigars, the original line is a sweet, earthy, medium bodied smoke bomb that just doesn't make it all the way to the finish line if you want an LP experience. Good cigars and good value, but not an LP. The Undercrown Corona Viva is a more powerful blend and gets much closer IMHO. I smoke the CV by the box-full.

I see a few Nica Rustica suggestions. I love it personally, but it is a little "rough". Very earthy, very unrefined, lots of flavor. Not for everyone.

D/FW. Mesquite to be specific.
I live in Downtown.
I go to Up In Smoke off McKinney, and Lone Star State Cigar Co in Plano when I'm at work. Javier's is also a nice place, except they are overpriced.
An old boss of mine used to invite me to Up in Smoke cause he had a licker and stuff, and it always gave me like vibe like the people their were more uptight. I obviously didn't know them so it really doesn't mean shit. But anyways, the place itself is pretty nice. I usually go to Elite if I'm in the area since I don't have a true local here in Mesquite

Ha! I literally love right down the road from Lone Star. I enjoy Elite as well when I'm in the area. Do you work up this way?

Sorry to derail the thread.
