NewAir 281e Shelf "clips"

Hi gents, I ordered a NewAir 281e from AnW that arrived a few weeks ago. I'd already been on John's waiting list for shelves.

I was like a kid at Christmas when my shelves came this morning from the UPS guy. When I started to install them, I noticed a little hiccup. It seems my window cooler has plastic clips to hold the stock metal shelves. And they're preventing the wooden drawers and shelves from sliding in. Anyone else encountered this?

I'm sure I can cut them off, but I don't know if that will impact the seal at all. Looking for others with similar experience.

I've read that they have to be removed on other threads, can someone confirm this?

Just snap them off they come off pretty easy

Had those on mine as well and pulled them off with some pliers. The only purpose they serve is to stop the wine racks from coming out completely. They don't impact the seal at all.
