I got the same email. . . 10 days after I sent them an email canceling that order. Today they actually canceled it.Cigar Fed seems to be doing to a top notch job lately. I ordered some Gueguenses from them 19 days ago and just got an email for the first time today explaining why my order hasn't arrived and that if I still want my order I'll have to wait another 2/3 weeks. I've never been so pissed off at a vendor.
I generally don't like ripping vendors but it shouldn't take over 2 weeks to let customers know something they ordered and payed for isn't in stock. That's just bad business. I don't see a problem with letting the community know if a vendor is performing poorly. It's one thing to put them on blast publicly over nothing, or without even contacting them. When peformance is poor, communication is poor an product is poor, I think it's actually important to let people know to stay away from a vendor. Now if they follow up and make things right, then we should know that too. Fair is fair and all. Like it was stated above though, when word gets out a vendor sucks, it just drives business to vendors like Small Batch who have a great track record and seem to go out of their way to be tied in to the community and great customer service. Hopefully things work out for you. I just got my order from Smallbatch today but still haven't heard back from C Fed yet.Man this thread is making me nervous. I just placed my first order with C Fed on Saturday. Just checked tracking, and the package is in the postal system due here on Friday. Now we'll see how they look when they get here.
