Last night right as I was firing up a short smoke I get a call from my ex-wife's brother in law. I answered the call only to find out that she had passed away earlier in the day. She had been battling health, mental health, and substance abuse issues for a while. I had a court date scheduled for next Friday to try and get full custody of our two kids because of the issues and instability, but this is certainly not what I wanted. Any and all prayers sent my kids' way is greatly appreciated. My daughter is not taking this well as she had refused to see her mom for the past several months due to a strained relationship between them.
