Hey guys wife has a BSA conference she has to attend and I am going to go with her. Conference is Friday 23rd. I will have nothing to do that day and was wondering what there was to do in the area. Any good pubs or cigar lounges? I know if been to a brew pub in the area Blue grass brewing company...or something like that. I'll try and find that again. Just wondering if there was anything else fun around. I'll have a car so driving some isnt a big deal.

you just missed the Ironman out there....then again one might argue that attending said event would be pointless etc....good luck!

If you don't mind a little drive, the Makers Mark distillery is about a little over an hour southeast of town. I did the tour and tasting a few years back when I was in town on business and it was well worth the drive.

Either do Match in Jeffersonville, or hit up any one of the many distilleries in the area. (If bourbon interests you). Be glad you missed the Ironman. Makes getting around town a real pain in the arse. If you don't want to drive out of town there is an Evan Williams Bourbon Experience right on Main St downtown. I haven't actually been in it thou.

Dustin we hit up Match/riverside last night and I recommend you try them. Very nice selection of sticks even some HTF if your into that. Jinx the bartender was very personable and funny. The guy at the cigar cash register not so much lol so we sat at the bar and smoked away.

Off to check Kremer's shop now.

I never made it to Kremers new location. Let us know how it is. They were forced to move from downtown because of the new bridge project.

So dropped the wife off this morning for her conference and headed to Kremer's decent selection a few cigars iv personally not seen in a b&m so picked up a few. The guy at the counter wasn't to friendly so I left after.

Decided to head over to riverside in jeffersonville next. Really glad I did. The place wasn't open yet so smoked the Kemer cigar in a beautiful little park and walked around the town. Very nice place. Stopped in the Red Yeti Brewing Company for a few beers which were also great then headed over to the lounge.

Had a cigar with a nice gentleman there and really enjoyed waiting on my wife lol. The place was really nice with a good selection. The bar was closed when I got there but I think my wife and I might go back later she would love to walk the small town.
Oh and I agree riverside is the place to go for sure. Though the guy at the counter was helpful he kinda gave off a Fuck you don't ask me questions vibe lol. Looking forward to making a trip back for the bar. Older gentleman there I was talking to said I had to try one of their old fashions before leaving.

Since you were walking around did you go in Schimpff's? The candy store? Bangin red hots they make right in front of you. And plenty of chocolate options for the wife.

Just don't go on a Sunday. I think like Chic fil a, they are closed. Also the pedestrian bridge is pretty cool over the Ohio if the weather is nice. Just watch out for the bicyclist who sometimes fly by at insane speeds.

Defiantly try the old fashion the guys I went with said Jinx made one of the best ones ever. I got that same feeling from the young guy on the cigar side. It wasn't enough to turn me away but I gave him the same attitude later when he asked if I needed help.
