Had two sticks today with unraveling issues. This stick had a brother that burned perfect last week. My rh is 63 at the top of the wino and 67 in the drawers. image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg

Good news is I cut an inch from the tip and got her fixed

Only have that happen if I've left the cigars in the golf bag for over 3 weeks.

but at 63/67 it probably should not be doing that.

I've have had that happen a couple times. Once from a little damage that occurred during some travel. The other when I was smoking way too fast (I was in a time crunch). Not sure if either of those are possibilities for you, if not, I have not clue!

Looks like you just got a bad stick. I had a defective UF-13 burst in several places and unravel on me the other day; I almost cried. :(
My coolidor fluctuates from 63-65 with the Boveda 65s and I rarely have burn, rupture or unraveling issues...(y)

It's either a construction issue or your humidity has fluctuated. Is it humid where you are? 63-67 is not an issue, unless there's rapid fluctuation there which could cause issues.

It's possible that the filler was wet and the binder/wrapper was drying out, and as you smoked, the pressure cracked the binder/wrapper.

I've had some high RH sticks that did simular but if cutting it fixed the problem, I lean towards a construction issue.

This cigar was in my pockets when I got splashed with the hose. I didn't think it got wet but it must have gotten a little water on it. Thanks for the help.
