You got some extra blends in your package. Since you're always running your mouth, I figured you needed a little something extra to shut it for a bit.
Let me know what you think.
The McClelland No. 2035 Dark Navy Flake should be a good side by side comparison with the Matador's Best from your local. I think they're the same, but it makes for a cool experiment.
I'd put the Rattray's Red Rapparee in a similar category as Mississippi River, but less sweetness and complexity.
And the McClelland No. 5100 Red Cake is just a great straight VA, and dirt cheap to boot. Most will agree it's from the same tobacco as Christmas Cheer or McCranie's Red Flake/Ribbon without any crop pedigree or special processing.
Enjoy!

You know something, I asked myself why I got more and had to come back to the thread to see what others got too. Plus, I was exhausted so my mind was all out of wack yesterday. Clint you getting me good. Thanks for the extras. But remember that box pass I send your way soon when I get it!! Mwahaha.

I'm going to have to pickup some of Matador's best and do the comparison. Funny you mentioned it because it now also says "dark navy flake" on the label.

I took the pipe sock out of the box, and said to myself, "I smell some good Va baccy." Opened the sock, and next to the pipe is a generous portion of 5 year old Stonehaven full of sugar crystals!!!

Been eyeballing his pipes for a while now... He's near the top of an ever growing list of makers I want a pipe from. That one looks great!
