Wow, that's a pretty decent pace - congrats!

How long did it take total? And did you get to smoke everything you took with you?

I agree, that seems like a heck of a pace for that long. I could never do that in the shape I'm in. Looks like a good goal to strive for tho.

I'm actually pretty disappointed in my pace. We started out at 3.5mph wanting to go faster but realizing that would be adequate to be done by 8, with a bit of time stopped at the halfway point. We really only stopped for 5 minute breaks 3 times in the first 25 miles.

Then around 20 miles my FIL got some significant leg pain that slowed us down to 1.5-2mph until we found a CVS and got some Motrin. That pace held for almost 2.5 hours.

By this point I was still feeling great and had smoked my Tat 233 and my CAO Flathead. I started the H.Upmann at the Marine Corps War Memorial. At this point things got weird for my knee. We'd already lost a lot of time and figured as long as we kept 3mph and short breaks we'd be home by 10.

My knee had other plans. I pushed through and held a 3mph pace while moving but ended up having to stop for 5-10 minutes every 30 minutes.

So our goal time went from 8 to 10 to finally 11:20.

All in all, it was good. My knee calmed down by this morning and I really just feel like I did a monster leg day.
