Hi Folks,
I'm kind of an anti-smoking guy, and hated cigars as they left me with a couple of days of a terrible taste in my mouth. Well, 10 or 15 years later I was on the beach with some old college buddies and they suggested we smoke some cigars, so the next time I was in town I got some. Knowing nothing about them, I called a buddy and he recommended the R.P. "The Edge" Lite as a pretty solid place for a beginner to get started So, we gave it a whirl, and guess what...not terrible. So, in the last few months I've been collecting a little of everything based on any recommendation I get. Some I like, some I don't, and some are so-so, but when I have the time and the kids are asleep, I set my relax to MAX with a nice cigar.
I'm an engineer, firefighter, and EMT, so I keep relatively busy...which significantly impacts the amount of time I can devote to smoking cigars. I get most of my smoke time in when I'm out of town for building inspections. This also gives me the opportunity to check out lots of cigar shops all over the country. I welcome any suggestions you fine folks might have. I'll give them try and make some notes in my log book. I tend to prefer a medium or lighter cigar, but a few of the more full bodied have agreed well with my tastes. I'm still buying singles and samplers until I get a good feel for exactly what I prefer as an everyday normal smoke. It'll probably be a few months before I burn through enough to be comfortable buying boxes.
Anyways, Thanks for the warm welcome
Kris
