Cigar.com has cyber Monday 10 packs. The only thing that interests me are the 10 pack Genesis Robs for $25. Since I haven't been on Cbid for 2 years, I have no idea if that is a good deal or not. Bought 4 boxes before I left Cbid, but am down to a couple sticks, so I may have to bite.

Saw the deals only after they happened. Seemed like every check in had amazing prior hour deals and meh currently.

Oh well, don't need to buy. Going on a month now, might be my longest hiatus in years.

If you are referring to the Famous deals, you should have asked. Many of us had codes written down, and they where good till midnight of the day offered. I heard they where even dpnewell approved, and he bit four times, lol.

best-in-class, often sub-MSRP list pricing...
Better be sub-msrp since cigar msrps are insanely inflated anyway.

I just got a batch of Four Kicks robustos for about $3.90 each at an auction site. Will see what they are on SBC.

EDIT: They appear to be a little less than twice as much on small batch.

Does this auction site sell them at a fixed 3.90 a piece everyday? Or was it... an auction? SBC offers good prices, supports the forum, has epic customer service and shipping that makes Jimmy John's look like molasses.

If that's not a valid set of reasons to shop there, then it's just more good sticks and service for the rest of us.

ETA: Every sponsor I can look up on a cursory search sells Four Kicks Robustos for 6-7 dollars a pop, depending. Pre site discount codes. While I appreciate hunting for deals just as much as the next guy, to compare an auction win to an everyday etailer is a bit unfair. But I'm jaded. I love knowing that I can call, message or email Mark (SBC), Craig (Emerson's), Jim (Famous), or Alan(JR) and they will take care of me and my order. Is that worth the extra dosh? That's up to each individual consumer. It is to me.

I'm not sure I understand the point of coming here and complaining about site sponsors who have fantastic service, better than average prices and fast free shipping.

Can you get some cigars cheaper at auction sites? Yes. Can you get better deals at times in other stores? Yes. But Famous had great sales this weekend and tried to win customer support and sell cigars. Small Batch had %15 off or %30 off and offered free lighters etc.

You don't want to shop there, that is your right. We all shop at different places at times but there is no reason to come in this thread and complain about no deals when clearly, there were deals to be had.

Sheesh, why are we arguing over something like this. If you are more comfortable buying from a retailer, who also happens to be a sponsor, then great. If you would rather buy from an auction, more power to you. Some of us have no other choice, but to rely on the auction sites, in order to enjoy this hobby. For instance, I was picking up Four Kick 5 packs off of CA (another sponsor owned site), all last winter for $12 to $13. In May, I won Jericho Hill 5vers for $16.51 ea. If I had to pay retail, or even discounted retail, I would not be able to enjoy these fine cigars, but that's my problem, no one else's.

So see, shlippy, compared to my wins, I could make the point that you overpaid. But that would be ignorant and rude of me. You won your cigars at a price point that you felt comfortable with, and that's great. Those who wish to buy from a retailer, are buying at a price they are comfortable with, and for other reasons such as service and loyalty. We're suppose to be brothers here, and all need to respect each other. Believe me, I failed miserably this week, and didn't give a brother the benefit of the doubt, or a chance to explain before jumping to conclusions, so I'm speaking to myself double on this respect thing.

Whatever. This is the deals thread so I just stopped by to say I was kinda annoyed I didn't see any deals I liked this year. I'm used to seeing deals that make my eyes pop on the after-thanksgiving weekend so the tepid discounts I saw didn't make my monkey jump and was wondering if that was just me or lots of people. Didn't mean for it to turn into a big discussion.

Other than that, I don't drink the small batch kool aid. I don't pay $7-12 a stick under any circumstances. I'm not the customer they're looking for and they're not the retailer I'm looking for. I'm sure they're great for some people. So if they are, good on ya.

"I'm not sure I understand the point of coming here and complaining about site sponsors who have fantastic service, better than average prices and fast free shipping." Thanks @sofc!

I don't want to see this thread turn into bickering about the supposed lack of deals from our sponsors or that "everything I want is on the excluded list". So I'll just use this as an opportunity to give a thanks to our sponsors.

Small B has free shipping even on a fiver and you get it in like 2 days plus there is a 15% discount always with the right code.

Famous had amazing "eye popping" deals on lots of great brands the last two weeks. I got $200 worth of El Gueguense for $100,
I got a free box of Don Carlos with $150 order. And that's just two deals I took advantage of.

From now on I will simply ignore they nay-saying Nellies and reserve my energy for posting my gratitude for the largesse of our sponsors.
