Personally, when a cigar tastes this good you could wrap it in newspaper and I wouldn't give a shit. Being a pre release they could be using them for now until the official release packaging is ready. IDK. Jon will have to comment. I like the simple foot band. Blue is as good as any other.
I'm with you on that but seems funny to use the same band/ribbon as another stick from them. I'm sure Jo-Ann fabric sells 20 or so colors haha.

My Father Special S (From the Red 3 Pack Box) - This had a very prevalent creaminess to it. The construction was spot on, and the draw was one of those needle in the haystack. But honestly it was not all that special, not bad, I'm gonna take a stab at it and say there's a good bit of Pelo de Oro, at least that's what my palate is telling me. This cigar reminds me a lot of myself while in high school, very smart but didn't want to do anything, just as I pissed teachers off who knew I had "potential", this cigar pissed me off because it could have been great, but it wasn't.

My brother in law gave me a couple of these Montecristo Media Noche #2 in exchange for for L'Ateliers, Never smoked this one before. It does have a fuller body than any other NC Montecristo that I have smoked. Found it rather one dimensional. Not bad just ...meh. Lovely mild evening for a smoke though.
