Let me tell you guys a story. Its not a fun story. Its not a story with a fairytale ending. Its sad actually. I used to drive a truck cross country and had amassed a pretty awesome collection of cigars while traveling this country. Had a nice humidor in the truck and had over 100 cigars all neatly packed away in it. GREAT sticks, and some not so great, but they were mine. Torches, cutters, travel humidors all traveling with me as I toured the country.
One day, I notified my dispatcher that I wasn't going to drive a truck any longer, and came off the road. I packed my belongings and I put it all in my car at the terminal and I left for home. As I was unpacking my stuff at home, I noticed my cigars and humidors and accessories were not in my car. I had left them under my bunk, where they traveled with me, when I unpacked my truck. I was sick. Heartbroken is more like it. I couldn't believe I did that. But, alas, I did. I simply LOST my whole stash. I stopped smoking cigars at that point. I really mourned losing my stuff.
That was three years ago. I have lost 110 pounds since then and am WAY more healthy now. I bought a few cigars for new years day and now I want to start building my stash again. Without the weight on me...no heart trouble...diabetes GONE, I feel a lot better about starting up again, what was once a passion. Since smoking the cigars this weekend, I am still passionate about cigars.
I thought you guys might like my hard luck story...Time to spend some money and get my collection back.
