Hello from Arizona. My name is Narciso and I've been smoking for about 5 months now and have been slowly finding out what type of cigars i like.
I started off smoking an AB black market and quickly learned smoking on an empty stomach is a seriously bad idea. I was hooked and bought a bunch of cheap Victor sinclair 55, an Acid tin, AB black markets, AB Prensado, and took a shot and bought the ultimate brown bag from cigars international. I quickly found that i enjoyed the black market, most of the victory sinclair 55 series except the red one (corojo) and most of the cigars included in the Ultimate brown bag except for the cigarillos that were terrible.
I seriously enjoyed the Acid Atom, Acid Cold Fusion, AB black market, Victory Sinclair 55 series Conneticut/Madura/Habano, RyJ viejo, and the CAO bella Vanilla petite corona. I found that most of the cigars i enjoy tend to get bashed for being either flavored or "cheap dog rockets."
I've smoked Cohiba red dots, AB prensados, La Aroma de cuba mi amor, RP decades and found them to be excessively one dimensional. While all these cigars had amazing construction, burns, etc the flavor was extremely boring to me.
I like sweetened cigars but have found that out of the Acid line i only really enjoyed the Atom (only one that the tobacco was not masked) and the cold fusion (very light infusion and with a very mild tobacco flavor). I really enjoyed most of the cigars from "ultimate brown bag" but unfortunately several were unbanded and i have no idea what they were. I found that the Bahia insignia, RyJ viejo, signature collection vintage 2005 maduro Corona, Foundry Chillin' Moose, and the rest of the cigars included to be quite enjoyable if looked down upon by many on several cigar boards. I have never been able to distinguish "premium" goods from "house brands" whether its liquor, food, beverages, etc. Apparently i like the dollar menu when it comes to cigars.
I found that my taste in cigars can be incredibly inconsistent and that i can dislike a cigar one day and enjoy it a few weeks later. It why i usually give a cigar brand 3-5 shots before making a decision on whether i enjoy them or not.
