Alright fellas, it is a snowday here in Middle Tennessee and that means cabin fever (since the roads here are impassable with as little as a 1/4"). Help those of us in this situation out and post up. Just had a new cigar....write a review. Got some insight on preferred wrappers....post your thoughts. Raving fan of the Ronson....give us your reasons.

I will do my part (and try not to bore anyone with any ramblings).

Our snow is melting in central Indiana. Got lucky this storm is missing us.

Just the other day, local ESPN radio was making the case for the NL adopting the DH.

I like it just the way it is - we get the best of both worlds with the AL and NL, and interleague play forces everyone to play the "other" game every now and then.

Sometimes those shitty at bats are game changers... What, no confidence in your pitchers????
I don't pay good money to watch a pitcher at the dish

I appreciate the decisions that need to made by the manager at those times, but other than about 5 pitchers in all of baseball, I don't want to see that shizz

To each their own. They were also making the case last season about extending the netting behind the plate... When I sit where I might get creamed with a foul, I bring my glove and pay extra close attention. People these days are too busy on their phones posting selfies to see that foul ball coming their way at 100+ mph

While I do like having the pitcher strikeout 99% of the time, and also like watching managers beat their brains out over how they'll deal with the 'hole' in their lineup, I also understand that the rule goes back to an age when players smoked havanas in the dugout, base runners 'spiked' infielders in the groin, and bookies sat in the bleachers with tout-sheets, chain-smoking cheap cigars. What I really mean--I guess--is that the rule goes back to an age when men were men and....PITCHERS COULD HIT OVER .200!!! LOL!!! But I agree with Steinbrenner (and I can hear the jeers and insults, lol): Why risk an entire season on your 'ace' sliding into home? Pitchers are making $15 to $22 million a year. The risk of losing him on a bang-bang play on the bases far outweighs the reward of having him cross home plate. Just my $.02

Totally agree. The game can change a lot if you have a pitcher that can handle the bat and isn't an automatic out. I'm pumped for spring training.
We have snow tonight 53 degrees on Sunday so we are going to try to get in a travel ball practice.

WFH sounds glamorous doesn't it?

I do it every day. Some days I absolutely love it, and some days, sitting in silence just gets to me! Enjoy the WFH day man, hope you made the best of it!
