I paid $10.99, and it was totally worth it. Smells unlike any other beer I've ever had. Might be able to grab some more but would have to check.

Totally different animal than the regular Black House. Sorta similar to the Mega Black House but slightly less stout-y...it's actually a blend of an old ale and an imperial stout, with a little coffee for good measure. Honestly I think I would prefer the stout by itself, though. It's kinda thin and watery, and somehow the backbone is missing. It's not bad, mind you...these criticisms bring it down from a 4.5 to a 4.25. Very good overall. The smell is spectacular.

Makes me wonder if they add cold brew concentrate versus aging on the coffee direct. My personal experience is that adding cold brew concentrate can really thin the beer out.

Could be...doesn't say on the description. They're actually a coffee roastery as well as a brewery. In fact they make and sell barrel-aged coffees. Which sadly are not as good as they sound.
