Oh man, I miss green chili. I lived in Trinidad, CO for a couple of not so glorious years but I do miss putting green chili on everything, both the stew and just the peppers

That's one of my biggest gripes with TX, green chilis just don't exist.

Out here in the Bay Area, one of my local groceries stores actually got in a crate of hatch peppers year before last. I bought and roasted off as much as I could get my hands on...sadly didn't find any this past summer to replenish the stock.

I've got a lead on a place that will roast, peel, pack and ship green chilis. If you're interested i'll send you the info once I get the number.
