Make sure to go to that cowboy store downtown and get some new boots and a cowboy hat. And maybe some fresh starched wranglers with holes in them.I have tickets to see Disturbed and Rob Zombie. They're country bands since they will be playing in Nashville.
Haha those guys are hilarious. I'm not gonna say I won't lend an ear to those guys, but when I do it's for 2 minutes at a time every couple of months. So not a fan of Colt Ford, The LACS, Lenny Cooper or Big Smo?
I like most music, except rap. But I love that country rap over the top silly stuff.Haha those guys are hilarious. I'm not gonna say I won't lend an ear to those guys, but when I do it's for 2 minutes at a time every couple of months.
I can listen to this one 2-3 times a year when we're on the river..... That's about it
It does kinda have a ridiculous over the top appeal to it..... But for me it is very short livedI like most music, except rap. But I love that country rap over the top silly stuff.
I don't know if you have heard him or not, but Steve Earl's son,Justin Townes Earl has a pretty good albumMore Americana than country to me but still. Now off to listen to some Townes Van Zandt
Makes complete sense, the problem is that what you're describing is the exact opposite of Justin Moore. He's living, breathing, small town, lived what he's singing about country.I meant real in the actual sense of the word. Real country music. Not manufactured auto tuned plastic cowboy hat nonsense. You could take any pop singer, put a hat and some boots on him and give him a handful of lyrics about trucks and beer and guns and he would be a top 20 country artist. In a couple of weeks. The guys I listed above.... That's the newer real country music. The 90s had plenty of greats too. But country music has been led astray as of late.
At least you can admit that what you seem to know about him is he said/she said and not actual first hand knowledge since you didn't know he was a small guy. I know a few small guys that would like someone to tell them they couldn't write that song. I'll let you have your "real country" and I'll just keep enjoying my Jamey Johnson and Justin Moore down here where we don't have high horsesJustin moore does not write his own songs... Those lyrics hes singing are as made up as that fake ass country twang he pretends to own. He may be trying to tell a story some jackass made up about "country livin" but it aint his story. I am good friends with a girl who works at a local radio station here in nashville. She met him when he came in for an interview.....she was not impressed with him. She also said he was a pretty small guy..... Remember that song he sang called "i could kick your ass"........ Yeah.... That cant be his song..... A real man wrote that and his candy ass sang it
Every genre of music suffering from this. Doesn't matter what radio you listen to Country, rock, pop, hip hop. All the artists sound the same, miss the days when artists were allowed to be individual and not all cookie cutter carbon copies.I meant real in the actual sense of the word. Real country music. I listed jamey johnson above as one of the guys trying to bring real music back. He is a great singer/songwriter. Didnt mean to hurt any feelings about justin moore, i just feel like hes playing dress up and buying his songs.if you like him, thats fine, but im not partial to him.At least you can admit that what you seem to know about him is he said/she said and not actual first hand knowledge since you didn't know he was a small guy. Because today people go from making music that MADE them famous to music that their now record companies WANT them to make. It's the horrible demise of an artist. 9 times out of 10I think it's comical when some singer that someone likes become popular, and people are upset that others now have taken notice. Why wouldn't you be happy that someone you think is talented is getting his due?
I read somewhere that the reading level of music is going down. Country still has the top reading level of its lyrics but it has dropped significantly. Everyone nowadays just tries to please the radio. Its all about the money and not about what they are writing anymore. Country radio is loving the party/ drinking/ girls/ lifted truck theme of todays country. Everyone just aims for that to get more airtime. I have a lot of respect for artists like this. I'll have to give Sturgill Simpson a try. I love Chris Stapleton and its really refreshing to see him gain popularity and actually win awards at Country music awards.Every genre of music suffering from this.
