Those who'll remember me from when I was here before may remember I have kind of an oddball favorite brand. Padilla. Like most of the brothers here I like my ligas, tats, etc, but I'm specifically a Padilla fan. For whatever reason my palate is directly in line with ernosto's I suppose, because as long as it's not one of his cheapo brands they almost always agree with me.
I wanted to bring this up because I've been well stocked with his older blends (pre-oliva). I have within the last few months smoked the last of my pepin-rolled miami's and 1932s. Last week I smoked the last original dominus I had- which was a masterpiece in my view.
Wondering if any of you guys have smoked any of the newer versions of the padillas. I'm assuming the blend is the same on most of these but he keeps changing rollers so I'd like your input if you have any.
Specifically- the maimi 8&11 which I know is rolled at el Titan.
The dominus, 68, and 32 which I think are all rolled at raices.
Or any input you may have on any of the new new blends as I haven't smoke any of them. I'm a little scared to delve into the criollo 98 and corojo 99 etc that ci and the like are pushing.
What say you botl?
