I just used a circ saw with heaps of cross cuts at a shallow depth then chiseled, then the circ saw again slowly turning, then a grinder to smooth it out a bit. Now the time consuming part.... Sanding

It's coming along slowly. I probably shouldn't have chosen such a hard wood but it will last a lifetime. A little rough as its my first attempt at it but should do the trick.

Great, how's the 12th of March for you @Joe Bloggs?Id be interested a Sydney Herf meet up . I could be away game fishing that weekend and won't know till closer to the date but If not fishing I'd be in !
