My dad received some lusitainias from a friend @8 years ago. What's the chance of reviving them. 8 are in great shape. 2 have small Knicks in the wrapper. 2 are destroyed.

Ok. I put a boveda in there. Ill put a 65% bead humidifier in there also. How long before I try to smoke one? I've never had a Cuban before so I'm stoked.

Some of y'all may laugh but reviving some padrons for a friend a while ago i did a shot glass of distilled water and a couple of bovedas in a zipblock and rotated how the cigars were laying for a couple of weeks and they came back. Saved 3 out of 4, one was having trouble so we left it in longer and my buddy knocked the water over and screwed it.

Worth a try. I'll put the bad ones in the ziplock also so I can feel them out without disturbing the good ones during the process. Thanks guys

Update... I put one of my digital hygrometers in the humidor and it read 60%. The analog is right on. It was 60% when I opened it today. The is a chance i have some great sticks. There was a foam humidifier inside but it hasn't been checked/filled in several years. The humidor hasn't been opened in years either. I just pulled the davidoffs out of the trash. I remember buying them right before my wedding 13 years ago. Still in cello. Can't wait to try them in a month or so.

Fired this One up tonight. My first CC, so I have nothing to compare it to. Light smoke lots of sweet spice and cedar to start. Very pleasing flavor and aroma, much different than the nicos that I like.20160311_220923~2.jpg

Through the second third and the smoke is finally getting thicker. Pepper has joined the party, sweet spice has faded a bit and the cedar has morphed into oak. Espresso has come into the mix towards the end of the finish. 1he 40min in.
