Re-visiting an old thread....using Grave Before Shave products since January-ish?? Was bombed the sampler by a fellow BOTL who I need to find out who did it and repay them. Anyway, I highly recommend all GBS products. The scents last me for quite some time and sometimes not around the most pleasant of smells at work. The other night before heading to work, I slapped on some cigar blend balm and the scent stuck with me for a good 9 or 10 hours of my 12 hour shift. Of course, I use the balm if I know I'll be out and about for the day while the oils I tend to use more while I'm home and loafing around the house. Keep an eye on their Instagram and facebook because Wayne does ALOT of discounts using the codes he posts.

I can highly recommend the Grave Before Shave oils and balm as well. Life got crazy so I stopped making my own and switched to the GBS stuff. I really like the Bay Rum scent personally.

Recently started mixing my own; jojoba & argan oil with some sandalwood. Probably going to look to add some lavender, jasmine, orange, and cedarwood - going for a Taylor of Old Bond Street fragrance. The initial investment in essential oils is a little pricey, but by the ounce is about 33% less than GBS and others. Don't get me wrong - there's alot of great products out there and GBS makes some of the best. Just an area where I can economize...

How much of each do you use to fill up a bottle?

I use 3 to 1 Jojoba to Argan oil. And about 5 drops of the Sandalwood.
My recipe is quite similar - 2 parts/ounces castor oil and 1 part/ounce jojoba oil (I find the castor oil too think on its own and the jojoba thins it a bit) and then I'll add about 8-10 drops each of Cedarwood and jasmine essential oils. What's nice is that it acts as both a pre-shave oil AND a beard oil.
