Brothers and sisters,

About 24 hours ago I was given some bad news regarding the son of a friend and co-worker. He and his date were pedestrians near the U of Houston campus around 0000 hrs Friday 4/15. They were struck by a presumably very drunk driver that had bounced off of a car stopped at an intersection. The young man is fighting for his life. His name is Mark. He has severe head trama. He needs our prayers and thoughts. His parents and family need them. I have a daughter almost the same age and cannot imagine how his parents feel. His mother and my wife were friends 25 years ago. Decisions might have to be made. Pray for strength, clarity, hope and faith. I keep getting chills all over and have thought of little else.

Just read that he passed away. So sad. I hope every brother here takes a pause and thinks twice before ever getting behind the wheel impaired.
RIP young man.

That is very sad and even more aggravating that someone's irresponsible decision to drink and drive has ended up tragically for this young man. Thoughts go out to the friends and family.

Tragic. I heard about it through a co-worker and saw it on the news later on. Harris County in my guestimation leads the nation in drunk drivers. It's a shame.

Thank you all for thinking of and praying for this young man and his family. Unfortunately this young man's life has been cut short from this earth. The family continues to need support.
