Yea, it is nice. Now I need to get a King size all for myself so I could sleep horizontally.

We were just looking at beds. There is a 'new' kind out now that is supposed to be better than the Tempurpedic....latex. It wasn't supposed to break down as quickly (like in 20 yrs vs 10) and not supposed to hold the heat that the Tempurpedic does. We didn't go with either one, stuck with our waveless waterbed with the 'Tempurpedic like foam' pillowtop. Worth it for us. Good luck!

I've had my tempurpedic for 7 years and isn't close to breaking down.

I hate mattress buying. I almost bought a tempurpedic 5 years ago then I got dissuaded after doing some research about them online. My current bed is already broken down (springs w/pillow top) so I may look into it again. Does anyone with the tempurpedic sleep on their stomach?

Wise-ass

We have a queen pillowtop and added the layer of the cheap foam stuff you get at Walmart... WOW it is great!
That's what I got, except at Target'

Update ... Well we ended up purchasing a Bragada Vienna mattress (Tempurpedic clone) . They make these to order and it was 9 days from purchase to delivery. I must say that I like this mattress a lot. Looks just like our old one - with a nice layer of button quilting over the foam core. It took about a week for me to get used to the initial firmness, but now I'm getting a very sound sleep.

The best part is that the price was exactly 50% of the Tempurpedic model we were thinking of buying.

I broke down and got a Tempurpedic about two weeks ago. The first few days were pretty rough since it is very, very firm when brand new. I can't say that I sleep better or worse but I don't wake up with a spring sticking in my kidney when I wake up!

I'm in the furniture business. My favorite matress that has similar qualities to the Tempur-pedic is by Sealy. It's substantially lower priced also. Standard 15 year warranty, and it "breathes" a bit easier in case you are a hot sleeper. Sealy recently came out with something to compete with the Sleep-Number bed also. It's more configurable, more bells and whistles and less expensive. Check the Sealy web-site for tech sheets.

Thanks.
