BOTL - Heard a rumor that a few guys from the Hillbilly Herf 4 may (or may NOT) have smoked these...

Cheers.

I can attest, this years TAA stick is truly fantastic. I'll go as far as saying its in the top 3 all time Crowned Heads has put out. Great job Jon, and thanks again for the hospitality last Thursday!

Couldn't wait so it went up after three days of dry boxing. Draws a little tight but I think it's just because it's too moist. Flavors are great and the retro hell is super smooth so I know it's a great cigar. It kind of reminds me of some other cigar but I cannot put my finger on it. Any ideas? Can't wait to give it another few weeks to acclimate

After just a little under a week of rest I had to smoke one today.
The pre-light aroma was very nice. The foot gave off a mix of dark chocolate and some leather, while the cold draw was leather and some cedar.
The 1st 1/3 was a continuation of the dark chocolate with some cedar in the background. The retro was as smooth and creamy as could be with no noticeable pepper or spice. This one had a perfect draw and produced copius amounts of rich smoke. The burn was razor sharp for almost the entire cigar and never needed any touch-ups or relights down to the nub.
The 2nd 1/3 still showed a lot of dark chocolate, but now also revealed some nuts and leather with a little bit of caramel mixed in. The retro now had some pepper and a little spice. This cigar is definitely an @JonHuber blend. At times it reminded me of a Jericho Hill and at others I felt like it was reminiscent of a J D Howard Reserve.
During the final 1/3 the chocolate moved more into the background and the flavors became more savory with some floral notes. The retro seemed like it had a smoked meats, licorice and black tar thing going on. It was a really amazing cigar that I had a very difficult time smoking slowly.
I managed to drag it out to about 1hr 15 min, but every time I put it down I had to force myself not to pick it right back up to take another puff.

Was gun-shy after being very disappointed with the 2015 Las Calveras (still have most of a case left) and somewhat so so on the La Imperiosa (my opinion) so I bought a 5 pack and had one ROTT. Great. Last night had the second and I just ordered a case. These are box worthy and reminds us that Crowned Heads is right there in the upper echelon of manufacturers today.
