The Ecuador Connecticut shade is sweeter and more flavorful. The American Connecticut shade really lets that filler flavor come thru. Both are fabulous wrappers. Delicate texture, tiny veins. Love the CT shade.

Frankly I love every leaf I've ever rolled from Ecuador... I can ONLY imagine... but not for long... gonna get some of that ASAP! The one I got from LO was extra spicy and a bit bitter.

Which leaf was that? I am in lust with the Ecuadorian Habano wrapper they sell. Have tried what they list as seco and ligero which I honestly can't tell much of a difference. What they list as ligero is just a tiny bit thicker. Don't think I have done a side by side taste comparison as I have just recently acquired the seco. Every stick I have wrapped with the Ec Habano has a fantastic flavor of cherries and baking spice though. A crowd favorite blend is 1 leaf Ec Habano seco filler from LO, 1 corojo viso (WLT), 1 criollo ligero (WLT), Dom binder, and Ec Habano wrapper. Reminds me I need to roll up a mess of these

Hot damn those look good. Maybe it's the 2.5 weeks without a stick talking, I would smoke damn near anything at this point. I doubt that though, you have really picked up the hobby damn quick.

Also, i love working with the PA Oscuro since it stretches real good, but it's super thick and that makes it a pain in the ass to cap with. Anyone have some tricks for this?

Due to how much it stretches, cut your flag a little skinnier than normal and cut your cap a little smaller than normal since it will stretch.

So, it seems i am running into a little issue now that i am quick enough to bunch 10 sticks at once... it seems my press, a keg, is not heavy enough to press these into nice, tight "bodies". They came out rather loose and oblong. The obvious fix is an actual press, but i really don't want a dedicated object for this, nor do i have the room for it.

What do you guys press with? Should i just drop two kegs on there? @BrewinHooligan you still use weights of some sort?

That must be a light-ass keg. By your description (loose and oblong) I'd gander it's more of a bunch size/quality issue than a mold pressure issue. Both those things might come from an over-stuffed slot (too big and/or poorly squeezed bunch).
My rig (that's two full molds, stacked, under two 10-lb weights). I get very firm sticks with a medium-firm draw from this:
