Inspection: box pressed torp or belosco. Some veins nice seams triple cap maduro has a spongey feel but looks like it would be more firm.
cold draw is chocolate and esspresso. The draw is perfect to just the right amount of resistance
Light: I tried something g new this time I used matches first time I have used matches and I like it you get so much more of an equal toast it seems to me, I think I will use match more offten.
1st third: gd the spice is alive and kicking in this one, chocolate and esspresso notes draw is phenomenal. This screams tat but I have doubts cause I have never seen a tat rolled like this
The spice is calming which is good for me. Kitchen spices peeking through. Some earthyness on the back end some cream being added as well. Damn it tipped over the ash tray so the ash is gone as well, opps. 100% positive I have smoked it before.
Second third:
all kitchen spices gone chocolate gone spice gone. It has settled into just a mild black pepper.has a very faint flower. Although I love complexity sometimes, this cigar is confusing, but still has my attention. I no longer believe it's a tat but I had my doubts early on. It is a couple notches toward full which is good for me I like some think with a kick which this stick has plenty of.
last third:
I have been trying to smoke really slow, getting a little abrasiveness, might have to purge to clean it up a bit. Yeah that did the trick, it restored alot of the flavors from before the spice being the main one. Some leather but the spice is knocking that out.
Final thoughts: I have no clue what it is. Was very complex and interesting. Ever changing. Would definitely smoke again but didn't make it to the top 10.

Appearance: This cigar has a very unique wrapper, almost looks like a light leather wrapped around the stick, slightly tinged green. The rustic wrapper has a barnyard and hay aroma, plenty of earth in there too. Construction looks great, tight seams, triple cap is flawless, but slightly squishy foot. I straight cut through the cap, pleasant draw with the expected flavors of earth, hay, leather, and rich soil. I am already guessing Dominican stick here. Love this vitola, smaller RG, but still enough length to get a long smoke in (Phrasing?).
The Burn: Obviously I have a good thing going here, so I grab the matches and it takes 3 to get it roaring again, plenty of smoke output from the get-go and nothing obverse or blunt in the first few draws. I am getting all the same rich, earthy goodness that appeared in the cold-draw. This is a really mellow stick, smooth tobacco, zero harshness, quite good on this warm evening. The strength is mild to medium during the first third. Tastes an awful lot like my Colombian blend, maybe there’s some of that in there!
Second third starts and the flavors are still leathery and earthy. Draw snugged up a little bit, but the burn is excellent, straight char line and no hassle stick. Ash stays on for about an inch at a time. Nothing overly complex in this cigar, but damn is it smooth. Body amped up toward the middle, interestingly no change in the flavor profile, but the smoke is much heavier on the tongue.
Last third starts and really nothing has changed, tighter draw, some heat starting, but still smooth earth and soil. Rich and smooth are what I am taking away from this smoke.
Overall Impression: Nice cigar; very mellow and smooth earth and leather throughout the entire length of the stick cigar. Zero harshness all the way to the end. Not overly complex, but nice smoke for the day!
Guess: I am not sure on this one, not something I would normally pick up since it’s not punching me in the face.
Answer: RyJ 1875, another one that I wouldn’t normally grab, thanks Ryan! And it has Dominican and Brazilian fillers, interesting since that’s similar to my go to blend, however they use an Indonesian wrapper which is super earthy.
Excited to see what the last stick is…

Inspection: got me a fat robusto 58 to 60. So e prominent veins they don't cause any concerns I have seem more prominent. The seems are almost unnoticeable. Nice looking triple cap, seems it's naturally wrapped. 5.0 to 5.5 in length.
Cold draw: spicy as sweet tobacco
Light: I again use three matches I think unless there is a reason I can't use matches I will continue to use them.
First 1/3: sweet tobacco and lots of spice immediately reminds me of la boheme. It's just about the right size but the wrapper is a little lighter. The spice levels out pavilion g the way for burnt sugar or carmel. The ash is holding on strong I was going to knock it off but it seems like a strong enough ash I want to see just how far it will go. Getting black pepper and a little sweetness definitely a full stick. The Burn now has a couple waves in it but let's see if they self correct ash is still there at 2 inches
2nd 1/3: most of the spice has vacated almost intirerly ash is still there at three inches till it falls on my shirt and rolls down onto my " lap damn it" held on past 3 inches
Last 1/3: I do have to finally touch up it did really good until this point. Just got too wonky for me. Profile remains the same very little spice and burnt sugar I thinks it's a la boheme so much so that I retrieve a for sure la boheme from the hummi and compare they do look very similar. The Burn has gone just totally nuts so I leave it down
Final thoughts: la boheme for sure always a good smoke one of the few spicy sticks I like. @Hopduro

A dark Maduro toro stick with a very splotchy wrapper. An extremely pungeant smelling stick, similar to the smell of a stinky drew estate or something like that. Definately an interesting smelling smoke. After cutting the prelight draw is pretty simple- a sweet tobacco flavor is all I taste.
I'm going to skim through the review a little quickly because there weren't a lot of flavor changes. The first 1/4 or this stick and the last 1/4 were the same to me, a very light cigar with just a normal sweet Maduro flavor. Nothing other than that to mention. The middle half was certainly different. A slight bit of spice but mostly lots of leather flavor. Like I was chewing on my belt. One of the more leathery sticks I've had. Not in a bad way though.
Overall I don't know why the very pungeant smell didn't equal big flavor- I thought it would. This was an interesting smoke as it was surprising in that it tasted so much like leather. Overall a very mild smoke. Something I'd revisit but I wouldn't say it was a favorite.
Reveal- flor de ybor city- a store exclusive from Tampa. Certainly new to me and interesting.

Reviewing another fine cigar gifted to me by @Kantucky. This one is a coffee brown lancers with a little pigtail. Lots of thinning to the wrapper leaf and some tears. I'm thinking it has some age on it. It's appearance is kind of ragged and ugly but that never stopped me from trying a cigar before.
Getting smells of earth, cocoa, and coffee. Some of my favorite smells.
Cut light, puff - pepper, earth, and leather. Nice and spicy with a deer hint of coffee to it.
About a quarter inch ash mark, the pepper fades and sweeter, Carmel and leather notes mix with that earthy base. I feel like a paired this cigar perfectly with a latte (normally I drink black coffee). Something in the scent and color of the wrapper (and the 48 degree spring weather in Philly) had me thinking this might work.
The ash doesn't hold long. Falls off every quarter inch or so. No big deal. Just may end with an picture the "I Ashed Myself" thread before this one is through.
This beauty is producing a lot of thick, white smoke. The taste is delicious. Earth, caramel/cocoa and some pepper. If I draw quickly, I get more pepper. Let her rest between draws and its noticeably sweeter. Really enjoying this cigar.
Lancers are new to me. In my entire life, I've had only two before this one: an El Trufidor and Headley Grange drumstick. Enjoyed both very much. Not sure why I don't smoke more of this viola. Should probably ask my brothers on BOTL for some more recommendations. Personally, I'm fascinated with how we can bring change in the flavor by the change of dimensions. I mean it makes sense, just so interesting. Has me contemplating how cigars are more an art form than many would initially think.
Anyway, back to the review...

Flavors are still consistent as I reach the end of the first third.
2nd third. Spiciness kicked up (yum) and leaf begins to unravel. Not a huge issue. Had to relight once more as I let rest a bit. This sticks seems to want to burn hot and spicy. Lol.
At this point I'm really loving this cigar. It's got a flavor profile I enjoy and I'm digging the lancero. I'd buy a bunch of these if I can. As far as guesses, my knowledge is limited on lanceros but based on taste, I'm gonna say something in the Tatuaje family and it has some age (at least 2 years).
Smoked her through that unraveled part and the burn is back to razor sharp. Letting her rest a bit between draws mellows the harshness that was coming in before. Totally enjoying this smoke.
Due to small knowledge base to draw from on lanceros, I'm sticking with a Tat of some variety as my vague guess. And like I said, I'm gonna look for more of these. Thanks @Kantucky!

Glad you enjoyed bro. They may still be available but I'm not sure. Have had several laying around for quite some time and that was the last one I had. Every single one I smoked was great if you happen to run into them.
