Yeah, I'm giving it a shot. I consider it more of a very thorough cleaning instead of a restoration. I'm just using a reamer and a buffing wheel on a DeWalt drill lol.

Haha thanks! From what I can tell, it was made in 1962. Not bad for a 54 year old pipe. As an added bonus, I got it for a decent price. I thought about cleaning it up then putting it back on eBay but I decided to keep it. I really like that it has a small bowl for those quick smokes.

I'm gonna buy another two buffing wheels and a block of tripoli and white diamond.

I literally just started but it seems to do a decent job from what I can tell. I used it on the Abercrombie pipe I bought the other week. I'll take pics of it when I come in from working outside.

The older bags are tan/cream instead of the gold new production.
IIRC, the cream colored bags were used until sometime in 2010, so that Penzance is actually older yet. 2012 is probably just the year the dude you bought it from bought it.

Wow I got it for a steal then at $56
