What unique/artisinal/small batch (or whatever you'd call it) SODA do you drink with your cigar?

I rarely drink soft drinks, but do enjoy trying different root beers and cream sodas. I am more of an iced tea kinda guy. My grandkids always expect a cold bottle of root beer or cream soda whenever they come over so I almost always have a few bottles in the fridge.

I tried a locally brewed root beer. They said it "is an old recipe". It was much too sweet for me, heavy sugar taste. Really nothing like the more mainline root beers that I've had before. Thankfully, they also brew a stout beer made to pair with cigars, so I enjoyed that instead. - - Have the small batch root beers that you've tried been super sweet like this too ? Thanks -

I found one of these in a Beef Jerky shop here in Australia and man was it good with a cigar, so much milder than most soft drinks, but delicious and doesn't over power your stick.

I tend to drink libations that are ones that hold on to the 'finish' of the cigar I'm smoking. Amarula and other cream liqueurs...White Russian with a cigar is not only good for you....it holds on to the smoke like a bear trap. I have diabetes as well but I tell diabetes to go "f" itself....set up another White Russian barkeep.

It's got a nice spicy kick but with a little sweetness. It also goes well with some bourbon.
