Hello all,

I used to have an extensive cigar collection in a big tupperdor but stepped away from the cigar world for the winter and have been smoking occasionally again. Instead of going back to the tupperdor I was thinking about getting a small good quality humidor to just keep a few of my favorite Padron's on hand. I'm not trying to spend a fortune, but don't want chinese knock off's either. I came across Savoy humidors and they seem to be in the sweet spot of affordable and decent build quality. Does anyone on the board have any of these humidors? Have they given you any problems?

ACE has the small one on sale for $70 and I might pull the trigger this week unless I hear bad news from brothers on here. Thanks.

I have one, its the large version.

It was a recent upgrade from my first which I got back in May(ish).

The first one was a 50 ct from Quality Imports. It worked juast fine but I'm 90% certain it has a vinyl film 'veneer' and not a real wood veneer.

The Savoy is markedly better. Nice lacquer finish on what appears to be real wood veneer. It holds humidity rock steady and recovers quickly too. I used the 84% Boveda x 2 weeks seasoning method.

What really pushed me to them was seeing a custom humidor builder recommending them. (Edit: Winsor Humidor over at Puff.)

I got mine from a shop in Az via ebay and paid ~$130 with shipping.

I had one of those and did not like it very much. It did not hold humidity at all. But it could have been just that one.
I ended up just pulling the trigger on the Savoy this morning anyway. BCIC was more than I wanted to spend. Thanks for your input though, looks like I made a good call.
