That is a sure sign of the tobacco being complete shit. Send to me for proper disposal, save yourself.
In all seriousness, the tobacco aging and naturally fermenting will cause the tin to bulge over time and I'm betting that you have something very tasty right there.

I got this awesome assortment of mature jars from @Adam. They look great, already tapped the FVF and liked it. Tough to keep it lit but I don't have much experience with flakes. I think I packed it too tight. Not pictured was a few bowls of Penzance thrown in so I could see what the hype is about. Thanks man.

So here is a question. . . can you store/age those 1.5lb boxes longterm? Reason I ask is they do not look vacuum sealed

I put the whole box into a FoodSaver Gamesaver bag, and seal it without using the vacuum. Then it goes into a plastic storage bin with a few Boveda 65% RH packs.

The foodsaver bag idea is solid. One of my cigar leaf vendors ship my leaf in those kind of vapor seal bags and as long as they are sealed they will hold moisture without the need of anything else.
